It's a good thing that this is a planned easy week. And maybe an extra day off here and there isn't such a bad thing. I'm not a pro, nor even a recreational racer, so there's no need for me to push myself hard no matter how I feel. Even pros need to pay attention to energy level, sleep quality, and so on. Perhaps especially the pros! Listen to your body, they say.
Tour de Cure is still two and a half months away, so I don't need to panic over this. I do believe, however, that after this rest week is over I must start to work at riding harder during non-interval workouts. I gripe about headwinds, but pushing for 16-17 mph against a good wind is probably what I need right now. The big thing will be not wiping out (i.e. skidding and landing on the ground) while riding!
