Of course the Garmin screen with the data from my rides looked much tidier than my scribbling (I never was notable for good penmanship!). If I have to, I can go back over my scribbles and work up a spreadsheet on my laptop.
It's close to a year since I bought the Garmin. I like the way I can monitor both heart rate and cadence as I ride. The cyclocomputers I'd had earlier could show only one of those at a time. If I get a power meter, I can also monitor my power output as I pedal along.
Now that I've taken care of the Garmin, I can think about more conventional Spring cleaning, not that I truly want to. I'd rather be riding than scrubbing the floor.
