So I set off at about 7:45 am and, for the first time, rode 25 miles from home. I was aiming for 55 or even 60 miles, so I had to backtrack a few miles at one point; and I totaled 53.7 miles. Unfortunately my average speed was a plodding 12.46 mph; barely fast enough for Tour de Cure even before taking the hilly terrain into account. Plenty of hard work to be done!
On a more positive note, I seem to be able to push a hard gear for longer at a time. My legs still got pretty tired before I was finished, though. Is it too late to ask Santa to bring me a pair of bionic legs for Christmas?
