For some hardy folk, temperatures in the low 40s are barely cool enough to warrant wearing long sleeves, much less a jacket. For me, below 60 degrees Fahrenheit is already getting chilly. When it gets down to 42 degrees with a 20 mph wind, which is the forecast for tomorrow morning, I find it bone-numbing. And mind-numbing, too.
This morning it was 55 degrees, and the wind was 12 mph (or so the forecast predicted). Even though I wore a skull cap under my helmet, my head ached from the cold and wind. Tomorrow I'd better use the heavy skull cap, and ride in the park as well. With my sinus problems, in fact, I might be wise not to try riding outdoors in such weather. Or am I just a wimp?
