But, the forecast for next week says, showers likely, and possibly T-storms. Just watch: once it starts to rain, we'll keep getting rain for weeks. The main problem will be rapid runoff and street flooding if it rains hard.
Not that all that has anything to do with cycling, except that doing rides in the rain is not my favorite thing. A light rain is tolerable, and makes things more comfortable when the temperature is high; a heavy downpour is something else again. When there's a strong wind along with heavy rain, I end up asking myself why I'm doing the ride.
Answer: I've got to toughen up. One never knows what a century ride will throw one's way. Except that a June century around here is extremely unlikely to snow on me!
