A map on page  shows the path of their travels. Gosh. Across America; a flight across the Atlantic; cycling through the British Isles; and on and on, ending with a flight from Tahiti to their California home.
I see that I haven't even begun yet! A few scattered century rides, and -- four, is it? -- Tours de Cure hardly stack up to two years of constant traveling on two wheels, battling all kinds of weather, conquering stiff climbs, camping out, and so on. I'm not sure I've got what it takes to be constantly underway for so long.
Sadly, the author suffered fatal head injuries in a bicycling accident just before the book was published. Maybe, somewhere out there, her spirit continues to ride on.
