Again, I was working to keep a pace of 15 mph as much as possible. Most of the time my heart rate was in zone 4. I'm beginning to think, though, that the HR zones I've been using for the last two months are a bit too low. Zone 4 is starting to feel almost too comfortable; at least lower zone 4. Or does it only seem that way because I'm not trying to carry on a conversation while riding?
My searching for advice on cycling in the hills has turned up mention of dancing on the pedals. I have no idea what I look like when I try to ride out of the saddle, but I do know that it does't feel like any waltz! And how would it be to "dance on the pedals" on a tandem? Tango, for sure!
