I decided to shorten this morning's training ride, in case the bike shop calls to say my bike's new part has come. If it does come in, I'll want to have it installed, which means a ride to the shop. It's only a mile away; but on a day when I'm supposed to be taking it rather easy, that's work.
And if that part doesn't come, the guys say I ought to be OK doing the ride, so I'm not going to sweat it. I'm taking it easy with my iPod: Dvorak, Beethoven, Gilbert & Sullivan, etc.
Something I omitted from yesterday's checklist was my road bike's under-saddle pack. It's always there, so I hardly think about it. I did check the tube of sunblock, and it's a good thing I thought about that. The tube was nearly empty, so I replaced it with another tube. I'm going to go through a LOT of sunblock tomorrow!
The weather will be warm, so I won't have to drag along leg warmers, full-fingered gloves, and so on. My favorite temperature for riding is cool enough for long sleeves, but not too cool for bare legs. But it will be a lot warmer than than that tomorrow.
