The threat isn't over, though, and rain and T-storms are possible all next week. So far the weather hasn't forced me to "ride" indoors, but the next two days will likely be the acid test. Possible heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 40 mph! The rain alone I think I could tolerate, especially since the weather is hot.
But wind like that? If it were behind me, I might have the thrill of flying along at speed I'd otherwise never attain. If it were a headwind, I'm not sure I'd be able to gain any ground at all. And as a sidewind, it would constantly threaten to blow me away. As usual, there's the concerns about lightning.
With the century six weeks away, I can't afford to miss much training. Time to haul out the CycleOps!
